Sandstorm!

All afternoon today we've been surrounded by a sweet desert sandstorm of sorts. The sky has been a brilliant yellow/orange color and visibility has been noticably decreased since about 3:00. Its pretty wild.

Apparently they're fairly common in the Karak Plateau region (where Mu'tah is) during the Spring, but we haven't had that many. The few that have happened have been when we were away for the weekend in Amman. I guess they only happen on the weekends or something (ya know, Thursday here is like Friday in the US).

But its really crazy. Its not so bad that you can't go outside or anything like that, its just that there's a breeze and the sky is just filled with dust/sand. Strange...
